Clawfinger

Clawfinger

Postby Warren » Mar 16, 2002 @ 7:09pm

Hey, I just found about this band from Sweden called Clawfinger, their music is SOOO awesome!! It's like a techno alternative metal, soo good! I guess it's similar to Rammstein, kind of. Download Two Sides, Two Steps Away, Biggest and the Best, Out to Get Me, and many many more! They sing in English, not Swedish, I wish they sang in Swedish though.

MZGuy, what are some other metal bands in Europe similar to Rammstein and stuff? In the US, we don't have much Euro music.

Oh, and preferably ones that don't sing in English :D.

Hey Warren, I was doing a spanish video project with a friend, and it is supposed to be about leading a healthier life. We did this thing about riddilin. i am supposed to be studying and i turn on muchroomhead's "before i die". My stereo has TONS of bass and it sounds great. So i am "studying" in the video and i turn on the music. I go crazy and start moshing by myself with a skeleton mask that has HUGE black hair. it was the funniest thing ever. Then my freind is supposed to walk in, being my mother, but he kept cracking up and we had to refilm it. I am having trouble holding my head up, my neck hurts so much.

That's a pretty kickass stereo! Those bass tubes on top will make you puke!

I was just wondering, in Clawfinger - Biggest and the Best, are they being racial? They're saying they're "the biggest and the best, and better than the rest", is it an "Aryan" thing? A few days ago, I let a girl listen to my PPC, and she started listening to Rammstein - Sonne, and she said "umm, is this some kind of German death rock?", and I said "noo..., it's alternative metal", and she said "how can you listen to a German band?", and I said "why not?", and she said "well, because their German", and I said "so, that doesn't have anything to do with it. Rammstein's an awesome band", and then she said "it sounds so violent, why are they so violent?", and I said "it's not really violent, it's about the sun going up and down", then she changed the song to something else. What she was getting at, which I wouldn't let her, was her stereotypical view of Germans, that they're all "racist violent" people, which of course their not, the US is MUCH more racist and violent than Germany!! Shapeshifter, or MZGuy, are there any other Euro bands similar to Rammstein?

You know what is funny, is that some people associate Germany with Nazis, but if you ever watch american talk shows, all the modern Nazis are in America, not Germany!

I just did a whole unit in History about terrorism in the US. 235+ neo-nazi/skinhead groups in the US, 6 in Germany, 9 in France, 6 in UK. 1 group in the US is the same size is 1 in Europe. If you count the small ones that are still organized, there would be 630+ in the US. The US is the only country in the world that actually has an OFFICIAL nazi political party, the ANP (american nazi party), who works along with the National Alliance, also one of the largest nazi organizations in the US. France and Germany have MUCH MUCH MUCH harder restrictions on hate crimes than the US, especially now. Stupid Bush has been going around saying "you can't beat the US, we're the best!", and now all the country is saying it. You know what's funny? The US military claimed that "hundreds of Al-Qaeda fighters have been killed" in Afghanistan, but then Northern Alliance officials said "no, most of them escaped, the operation was a failure". Right there, the US was caught with propaganda. Now everyone's saying "we beat Afghanistan in only a few months and Russia couldn't do it in 10 years! We can beat Russia now!". Well, did Russia have the Northern Alliance? Of course not. And the US was helping Afghanistan too. DId you know that there are only a few HUNDRED US military people in Afghanistan, and thousands of Northern Alliance people, so whose really fighting the war?

*thinks to self* Only 6 more years til I can move to Europe.

Actually, I watched a show on Discovery Channel on an adventure race in Switzerland, it was cool. It was weird seeing people climb a mountain, but then there's a large town right behind them. On some of the mountains, they start climbing them in parking lots! That's cool, walk around town and have a giant mountain next to you. I'll have to learn how to ski...

Ok, I don't feel like getting into a debate, I just had one about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with RICoder, and that lasted long enough. But I will say a few points. First of all Russian isn't that bad, their economy is rising well. Many people have computers there, and some of the best hackers in the world are in Russia. The example of that girl is an extreme case, but the majority live decently. One of my teachers moved here from Russia, and says he wouldn't mind moving back. Secondly, I think the "freedom of speech" is going too far, it should be limited somewhat. And the US DID NOT win WWII! The Soviet Union did a lot more to win it than the US. I just wrote a paper on it for History a few weeks ago. The USSR had 20,000,000 troops on the eastern front, fighting 8,000,000 Germans who had better weapons and tactics. The US had 6,000,000 troops with 3,000,000 British fighting 3,000,000 Germans on the western front. Russia suffered through that war a lot worse than England, losing about 18,000,000 people from the nazis surrounding entire cities, starving the people. I'm not sure if the numbers are exact, I don't feel like finding my paper, but they're close. The USSR won it through shire determination.

Anyway, I just think that the US is sooo culturally plain, I want to live somewhere culturally rich and fun. I want to live in Switzerland :D. Peaceful people.

Germany only took over France and Eastern Europe, hardly half the world.

And yes, I'll be driving on the Autobahn at 160mph.

Oh, Ideot, how much did that boom box cost?
