Quake Site Updates

That's amusing. I certainly wonder what type of programming technique is involved to require a 400 mhz XScale processor to make a money / expense tracker "perform particularly well". I guess it just plain sucks on StrongARM devices.

I shouldn't be so judgemental - I'm sure that financial app has a window, some toolbar buttons, a couple menus, draws some text and maybe even a pie chart or bar graph. Oh, almost forgot file I/O.

I'm quite sure I could create an app that was so inefficient that it requires an XScale, too. That obviously doesn't require any amount of wizardry.

I really didn't intend to rip on anyone about their work. Except Moose, I'll tear into his ass any chance I get.

Design is a very difficult thing to do, and it is even more difficult to do it well. Thats why there are speciallists in that field. I am not a designer, I am an illustrator. There is a huge difference for people that may be wondering.

I already have a concept sketch for the PocketQuake site logo. If I really have the ambition, I'll be able to add in all the elements I had concieved since the first day Paul asked me to contribute.

It would be really cool if others worked on some site design. Even if a single design isn't used, I think it would be even better if we could blend the design of 4 or 5 contributions. I already see portions of the current design[s] that can be used.

I too contributed and made a logo for the Pocket Wolf site, although no one has bothered to put it up, so its annoying when people ask you to make a logo than you volunteer your time to do it (time where you could be getting paid) and no one puts it up. Than eveyone wonders why no one wants to design things. I certainly for one wont be doing anymore freebie work.
