Hello everyone. One year ago, around this date, I posted my very first post. It was in the PocketQuake forum, asking a question on how to make PocketQuake work. I received my PPC on 3/12/01 (my birthday), and got PQ shortly after that, and probably posted on the 15th, 16th, or 17th. This has been a great year with you guys, it's amazing I'm still here. I've seen the leaving of many PMers, like 999, Dr. Phat, and Chuck who I never liked. Some people who were here when I started out, like Moose, Paul, Shapeshifter, Dan East, Chris Edwards, and many more (including RICoder). PocketMatrix is a unique forum, it's not just about PocketQuake or pocket PCs, it's about friends. We are all friends from around the world, from Germany to Rhode Island, and, yes, even to Paul's house. I am a member of another forum, one that I don't nearly post as much. That forum is a forum about mapping (making maps/levels for first person shooter games), it's the Valve Editting Resource Center (Valve ERC). I've been a member there for several years (4 years, I think), and not ONCE did I ever see a thread go
off-topic. People in that forum don't post to talk, they post to ask stupid questions, and no one ever really talks. I don't know anything about anyone in that forum, you just recognize the person's name, and that's all you know. PocketMatrix is different. We are a groups of friends that, when we sit at our computer and have nothing to do, converse with eachother. If this forum never existed, how many of you would know someone in England that checks out a girl in a library every day? This forum isn't about questions, it's about international friendship, and NO, we are not geeks or low-lifes because we post 1000 messages here, we are meerly a group of friends that hang out on the Internet. *starts crying* Group hug! *Ideot and Paul immediately hug, Moose slowly joins with the rest, Werner hugs his bike, Paul grabs library girl and makes her join the hug, and Dan East joins with a big smile*
