I'm just saying that suggesting an alternate outcome of a war is difficult at best. There is no real way to be sure what would have happened.

However, it does further the intellectual persuit. So, I submit that Russia had no desire to be involved anyway. They would not have marched from their own borders unless the U.S. got involved and coaxed them into it.
