I guess. The outcome would tend to be in your favor, and the unexpected would never be explored. I personally would never want to control my dreams. To me they aren't like watching TV. They are more like remembering events of the past where I don't have the power to change things, but merely observe.
Of course I have full sensory. Just as vivid as any other memory. I dream in color, and can even smell the rain. Physics still takes its toll- I recall the feeling of soaring weightlessly through the air on my snowboard, and then the massive impact as gravity, bodyweight and packed snow come together.
I like dying in my dreams- the feeling of fading away. Its difficult to explain. The world doesn't fade, YOU do as you no longer feel anything. Not even the beat of your own heart. It doesn't just stop or slow down, it just goes away. (don't ask me why my heart beats after I die, I dunno).
The weight of your own body fades. You don't get lighter, like the way water turns to steam. And its not "becoming nothing" like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Its completely different than floating or weightlessness. Its more like slowly detaching, which is kind of impossible. Its either attached or its not.
All that is left is my thoughts, emotion and memories. I don't remember much else, but it seems to continue from there since I have bits and fragments.
Sometimes I'll be awakened gasping for breath. My chest aches as I feel like I have been holding my breath for a week and a half.
So don't let anyone tell you it is impossible to die in your dreams. Its a myth. Maybe I just have a vivid imagination.
