He said that we are considering invading Iraq, but for sure something has to be done. He didn't invade Iraq the day after he announced it, did he? In fact, nothing has happened yet. He's not ignorant. There are some extremely intelligent people in the government, believe it or not. We won't just march blindly into war, and I'm sure they know whether Iraq does or does not have nuclear weapons. It's a touchy subject, lose/lose situation for sure. I just think that sure, there will be lots of casualties, maybe a very large number due to chemical/nuclear weapons, but we would win the war, and then we minimize casualties. We'll lose fewer soldiers than if we wait for them to aim a nuke at New York. Think how many millions instead of thousands would die. Our air force is so powerful, and it really is, that we could severely weaken any place suspected of storing nuclear weapons, then we'd send in ground troops.

That's my view, at least. There's no easy solution.

PS I don't think Iraq is third world, maybe in the people's average income, but the government is rich as fuck. If there weren't sanctions, that country would be rolling in money, and as it is, Hussein already is. Iraq is allowed to sell as much oil as will feed their country, but Hussein just hordes it all for himself. That's why the people are poor, yet they're developing weapons of mass destruction.

My mom emailed me this today:

After hearing that the state of Florida
changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman
have her picture on her drivers license with
her face covered, I believe this is even more
appropriate. Read on, please!

This is an Editorial written by an American
citizen, published in a Tampa Newspaper. He
did quite a job; didn't he?

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether
we are
offending some individual or their culture.
Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we
have experienced a surge in patriotism by the
majority of Americans. However, the dust from the
attacks had barely settled when the
"politically correct" crowd began complaining
about the possibility that our patriotism was
offending others. I am not against
immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against
anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to
America. Our population is almost entirely
comprised of descendants of immigrants.
However, there are a few things that those who
have
recently come to our country, and apparently
some born here, need to understand. This idea
of America being a multi cultural community
has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our
national identity. As Americans, we
have our own culture, our own society, our own
language and our own lifestyle. This culture
has been developed over centuries of
struggles, trials, and victories by millions of
men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic,
Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other
language. Therefore, if you wish to become part
of our
society, learn the language! "In God
We Trust" is our national motto. This is not
some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We
adopted this motto because Christian men and
women, on Christian principles, founded this
nation, and this is clearly documented. It is
certainly appropriate to display it on the
walls of our schools. If God offends you,
then I suggest you consider another part of the
world
as your new home, because God is part of our
culture. If Stars and Stripes offend
you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should
seriously consider a move to another part of
this planet. We are happy with our culture
and have no desire to change, and we really don't
care
how you did things where you came from.
This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our
lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every
citizen the right to express his opinion and
we will allow you every opportunity to do so.
[Have you ever tried these type of complaints
in the country of your origin?? Do they allow them?
Just because we allow them doesn't mean we
have to bow down to them!]
But, once you are done complaining, whining, and
griping about our flag, our pledge, our
national motto, or our way of life, I highly
encourage you to take advantage of one other
great
American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE

DAMN STRAIT! YOU GO BOY!

Lol! I'm kidding of course.

What do you think of this letter Dan East?

I have no opinion, because either way, Randall will twist around my words and make me look bad.

Dan, that whole post is ludicrous. Wow. Some people.

I do not agree with the arabic woman being allowed to have her Drivers License picture taken while wearing her Burqa. Driving is a priveledge, not a right. Driving is one of the simplest things to obtain, as the rules are not that strict.

So someone explain to me how her DL can provide any kind of identification.

As for the other guy... sheesh. Where do you start when tearing his letter apart?

Marge, if I twisted your words around, I suggest you do some spin-doctoring to point out EXACTLY where I overstated. I'd be happy to apologise, because the current image I have of you isn't too appealing and I hate to think of you that way.

Oh, and that guys final statement was completely false, and exposes his stupidity. Nobody has the RIGHT TO LEAVE the USA. That again is a priveledge. Why do you think we have passports coming in and leaving the country, as well as border patrol inspecting the Canadian and Mexican borders?

Randall, I'd be interested to hear where you disagree with the article. You don't see Americans going to Russia and saying "Let us speak English here, we don't want to learn Russian!" People in this country are actually trying to make Spanish an official language. Every other nation in the world is proud of its heritage and its beginning. We were founded by Christians, and "In God We Trust" is our NATIONAL, not RELIGIOUS, motto. It stands for how we were created, and what this country was supposed to be based on. Liberals always push "freedom of speech" for every damn thing, then when it comes to "In God We Trust" in schools, or recently in Madison, banning the Pledge of Allegience, because it said "Under God...", that right suddenly disappears. I'm sick of it! Anything in this country not named in the bill of rights is a priveladge. You can't come from another country and force your language and customs upon them. Imagine what the liberals in our country would say if thousands of americans a year entered a foreign country and DEMANDED their language and customs be adopted by that country. They'd be outraged! Yet it SHOULD happen here. Tell me why?
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.
