yeah I was just over at Union Square today looking at new cell phones at Circut City. That 256 color Sanyo cell phone is amazing! Too expensive though. What kind of work do you do. I go to school right by there up on 23rd.

I am an Architect for a large firm just south of Union Sq. between Union and Washington Sq. I spend alot of time in Midtown since my Girlfiend lives there. Born and Raised in Northern New Jersey.

yeah Im an illustration major and film minor at the school of visual arts. Also do childrens books.

Well, its been a while, but I finally got my new digital camera. I followed Davinci's advice and went with a Canon Powershot, I got the S40. It is so nice, so many features that I am actually reading the manual.

Im very happy with my purchase, and thanks for the help Davinci.

How is everything? Battery life, shot quality, optical zoom, storage media?

Im just getting setup with it, opened it up a few hours ago. Ill let you know as I use it over the next few days.

www.dpreview.com estimated about 4 hours of battery life, which is decent, but I bought an extra battery for backup.

It has 3x optical zoom, I forgot how much digital, but I wont use digital zoom anyhow.

Its a 4MP camera with a max res. of 2272 x 1704

It uses CF type I&II cards, and is microdrive compat.
