First of all, n64 is much more processor hungry than psx (faster cpu and other stuff). Also, goldeneye was a bad example. Even with the new emu's there are still issues with slowdowns, and the cut-sceens seem to run at 8-12 fps. If you want to talk speed use mario. It runs fast because most emu's were made to play mario first, so all of it's functions have been properly optimized. Along time ago someone attempted to make an emu that was designed for zelda. It never got passed the beta's (to my knowledge), but it was playable (asside from how crappy it looked). IF you tried to load mario64, however, it ran extreamly slow.
The psx is fully playable at 233 mhz (smoothly). I should say extreamly tollorable I guess, since some newer games will jerk during extreamly intense opps (like ff9 entering the battle with the scrolling camera). But simpler games work fine. What we first need to do is find out which rom works the best with that emu, i.e. what rom was it first designed to run? Then use that to see what kind of fps it gets.
Yet again, all of us agree on one thing. This may be fake (I don't know, and really don't care since I won't be getting xscale any time soon). On the other hand, it is very possible to create and make tollorable on an xscale (and maybe just as eye candy for the 206). Rember though, THERE WILL NOT BE AN SH3 VERSION NO MATTER HOW MUCH TIME YOU ASK. THAT IS, UNLESS A NEW SH3 COMES OUT THAT RUNS AT 400 HMZ MINIMUM.
