Oh my God, did someone just say Tenacious D was good? Jesus.
At the Drive-In is incredible, especially Relationship of Command (their last CD). Punk music is not bad, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. You probably think SUM41 and Blink 182 are punk, or maybe you've heard some two-chord skate punk and mistake it for all other kinds.
The punk music 'scene' or indie scene are actually incredibly diverse, whether you'd like to admit it or not. Punk is much better music than metal, since GENERALLY you need a good voice to do it, you don't need to just get the most gutteral sound you can.
Tenacious D sucks, Mudvayne is Godawful, Korn is much better than both of them, I respect Korn. Drowning Pool. Wow. Did I hear someone say that was music? Cuz it isn't. It's terrible.
That is all.
Edit:
Plus their drummer is a fucking neo-nazi. Mudvayne used to play neo-nazi fests with Mest. What great role models, they fucking paint themselves like morons then hate black people and gays. What a great country where you can do that, and make money off of shitty music while good bands are in financial trouble!
Another fucking edit:
"Punk needs to die. Quick."
Look at the fucking metal-nerd culture. Those people must honestly be the biggest waste of material, look at how baggy your fucking pants are. Sweatshop kids have to work overtime just so they can wear clothes that make them look fuckin ridiculous anyway. Your music is much adue about nothing, wow, teen angst, your lives are so hard, oh no, oh no, your teacher gave you a D, kill the world, kill everything! At least punk music accomplishes something, conveys something, political idealogy or otherwise.
The fates lead him who will;
Him who won't, they drag.
