Fat can be genetic. But I'm sure one in a million can get big enough to take up more than one plane seat without doing something wrong. "Fat! So?" is the dumbest title of a book I've ever heard. Fat is a huge problem, and if you don't agree with me, look at the health problems it causes. It's a glutton's condition. You indulge yourself too much and don't take care of yourself. I have no problem with genetically overweight people (but you would probably look at pure genetic obesity and think "hey, they aren't that fat"), it's just those people that fucking eat their way into obesity. Huge problem, especially in America.

Him who won't, they drag.

ok, I have never flown... so i dont have any first hand experiance from this. Nor am I fat, but I think that is wrong. I mean common cant a special isle for larger people be made? or something like that? God like airline prices arent high enough, that would just be horrible. Or hell, at the least.... maby charge em only 50% more for the second seat. (i still think its horrible, but....)

I think fatasses should pay for the amount of room they take up ona plane. I dont want your fat ass oozing onto me. I think they are so nasty!!! Last week at the mall I saw this fat tub of lard that was atleast 350lbs, she was wearing all yellow. I mean wtf, why are you wanting to look like a lemon or a freaking schoolbus. Then there are these other women that think animal prints make them look smaller so they wear them. I think fat people need a real wakeup call and loose that wait. One of my 4 sisters which are all older than me in a fatass, I tell her that everytime I see her. She just gets bigger and bigger. I am 6'6 @ 192lbs, my ideal weight is 230lbs and I eat like I have not had a meal in weeks. I eat what I want and I exercise regulary and keep my body toned and conditioned. I just do not understand how people can live with themselves being a fatass like they are. It is nasty and repulsive, I think they should be put on strict diets and made to exercise, if they have a medical problem guess what they can exercise too. If you are big cause of lymphnode problems or other glands, you can still work out and keep your weight at a good level and watch what you eat.

Gahhh!!, I think they should pay for double seating everywhere, even the movie theatre and other entertainment type attractions.
Note to self: Why don't you ever listen to me?

On all airplanes the aisles are barely big enough for regular people to fit down. Their one way, no passing while going down them. Their about as big as a schoolbus aisle. And no, there's no way for them to make them smaller. When I was coming back from australia on a Boeing 747-400, which are one of the largest airplanes out right now, there was barely enough room.

Ainvar, telling people they're fat won't make them want to get skinny. It will either make them depressed and thus cause them to eat more since food is already the thing they fixate (sp?) on, or they will become angry, and you don't want fat people to get angry. Anger just leads them to believe that they're normal and thin people are just jerks and they won't want to become a thin person for that reason.
It's encouragement that fat people need. Not "I know you can do it," but more like "I know you can't do it alone, can I offer to help." Just like alcoholics, they just CAN'T stop drinking on their own. Same thing with gluttonics. They just CAN'T stop eating.

You've got the hang of it. Except you want them to think there's some hope, like "we're here to help you fix your problem"

fat people should pay 2 spaces if they take them up. as for turning to food whenever they take an insult, its pretty pathetic when they all say that they need food and its all they can turn to, just pathetic.
Why?

encouragement? god you stupid yanks. no wonder all you guys are so fat. what, instead of getting THINNER by the NORMAL METHODS. you sit around hugging eachother in group therapy shouting "FEEL THE BURN!!" "POWER TO THE MAX!!" and other assorted slogans.

this is like mcbain helping homer lose weight. hilarious but useless.

Paul, you're a fool. People need encouragement to feel good enough about themselves so that they care what they look like. Then they'll start doing what's necessary to change what's wrong with them. Quit coming up with these lame 'yanks are wanks' posts.

Moose, always trying to be the mature one...:?

I'm siding with Paul on this one.

And you know what I just noticed? In the picture of that fat American I posted, he SHAVED the "US" on his body! Just thought I should point that out. :D

I don't have to try to be mature.

People can be very sensative, you have to influence them not yell at them like some American Football coach trying to psych people up.

I know we have problems, that's why we have to be careful how to handle them for fear of escalation. Things like obescity and depression are illnesses of the mind and need to be treated just like any other illness.

... but they should still pay for two seats ;)
