Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

In my math class, when we finished early, we would get a sticker on the poster, and get a little toy to play with. Seriously! That class, Algebra II was more like kindergarden, stickers, toys, games, and pretty much the entire class is a really long break with the teacher saying "we should really be doing work". I'll miss that class .

My biology teacher had to leave class early one day, and she told me to teach the class on anything, so I taught them about spontanious human combustion, it was hilarious.

My history teacher would let me teach the class, well, it was more like making me stand in front of the class, and he'd just tell me what to explain. 90% of the time it was on history stuff, but sometimes it funny stuff. I spent 20 minutes talking about skunks once... :D

I have a question, and this thread seems to be the most appropriate now. It's about the cost of colleges. I've been looking into the prices lately, and they're insane! Namely room & board, the average is about $7,500, but is that yearly, or for all 4 years? Do you realize that if it costs $7,500 a years, that that is $0.84 AN HOUR, and 1.4 cents A SECOND!!! Are they crazy? Or am I crazy? I college I want to go to, Worcester Polytech, is $27,000 a year, but room & board is a rip off, but I don't want to live at home!! Plus, if I do, that's a 45 minutes drive everyday. :/ Is room & board really that much?! Oh wait, here's the actual prices for WPI: room & board: $7,592; but with only room, it's $4,116. What is board mean? Is it food or something? Really, only a room is required, but what is this board? If it is food, then maybe that's worth it, because food is expensive. WHAT IS BOARD?!

full board is full catering. half board is self catering. i think.

the university i'm going to is only £51 a week. self catered though. total for 40 weeks is £2048. thats about $3000 i think.

at the WPI its $4000 a year? well thats about $1000 more than here so thats okay. do you work 40 weeks like we do?

the food there is cheap. we have banks, barbers and food shops all on site like a mini village. its practically in town which will have other shops and market stalls no doubt.

i predict about 5 minutes after arriving i'll shout "i am not a number, i am a free man!" or something.

There's no full or self catering, I think it's like food stamps at the cafeteria, I don't think it's worth it, food is probably bad, and there's tons of restaurants all around the school, there's several other colleges right near it. With food, it would be $7500, without, $4000, which is much more reasonable. no matter what my parents say, I'm going to the coed dorm! There's all-male and coed, plus I wouldn't want to be in the all-male, it'll probably be full of booze and screaming idiots. I wonder if they have males and females living together in dorms, I'd prefer that, not because of the fact of living with 1+ girls, but because they'd be better at the whole living on your own thing. Like, well, I don't know, but I'd think the girl would trust themselves more to do the shopping, even though I'm a good cook. Ah, I know know why, I just don't want to live with some guys that'll live like pigs. Girls don't live like pigs, and I don't live like a pig (I only do on weekends ). The ONLY thing I don't like about Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), is that the student body is 77% male, 23% female! That's NOT a good ratio :?, but at least Worcester State College is right next door, which has an abundance of females :).

Oh, books are expensive at colleges here, average price is $1500 a year.

What's that 40 week thing? Ours is divided into 4 semesters a year, each 7 weeks, and goes on for 4 years. Paul, do you work? At a company or something for money? I would think it would be impossible to work during college. At my high school, there's way too much work to have a job at the same time, only dumb failing kids work, because they don't do the school work. Oh, on the subject of working, I've been spending the last 3 weeks looking for a job, but because of our wonderful economy~~~, there are none. In Massachusetts, on the news, they said that 80% of jobs that would normally go to teenagers, are going to 40+ year old unemployed people. They said only 1/3 of teenagers looking for a job this summer actually got one. They had an interview with the Boston mayor, and he said "well, if you can't find a job, you can't find a job". Yeah, sounds like he's really concerned~~~. Damnit, I NEED money for a new computer, mine is sooooo old, it can barely run anything. It's a Compaq, one reason on why I chose Casio for my PPC .

I have just decided to join the United States Air Force Reserve. Why? Well, I can't join yet, minimum age is 17, so I have to wait til March 2003, but I want a job during school, and what could be better than working one weekend a month? I'd like to be a Fuels Journeyman, they fill the planes, vehicules, and choppers with fuel. Easy? Yes! For only 1 weekend a month (I can do more if I want, I'll get extra pay), what could be better? And you know what? If I'm called out to go on an actual mission, I'll say "what the! No! I quit!" and I'll drop out. The war with Afghanistan won't get to the point that we'll need the Reserve, lol. Damn, the Air Force Reserve, that'll mean that I technically won't be a civilian anymore! *laughs demonically* The Air Force, Aim High Image
