Well, I didn't have to use the infrared port of my E-125 yet - until yesterday, and it didn't work (of course).
I already played around with internet connection via infrared and mobile phone, no problems there, but yesterday I had to transfer some files from and to a friend's notebook.
I started "Infrared Receive" on my PPC and tried to send a file from the notebook, the PPC application said something like "Connecting to [name of laptop]", but nothing happened. The laptop (running XP) also recognized the PPC, but I only got an error message which translates to "Connected to mobile device, but the mobile device refused the connection" (I know, it sounds strange, but the German error was confusing as well). Sending a file to the notebook didn't work either; the devices recognize each other but don't do a thing until one of them times out.
I tried to send files to / receive files from my mobile phone; exactly the same problem. I don't get a time out, they simply loop forever while the Cassiopeia says "Connecting to [mobile phone]".
It's not a problem with the phone or the notebook, 'cause I could easily transfer files between them.
As I said: the IR port works for internet connections. Is there something I have to do before I'm able to exchange files? I simply want to copy a document from and to my PPC! Argh, I'm quite upset.
