Crosswind technique: "Using your peripheral vision, react to body movements, gasps, groans, and shouts from the other side of the cockpit, and always remember that it's better to be lucky than good."

Mehhhh @ XP. I still think 2000 is far better than XP, though I'm looking forward to .NET. XP functionality with NO FRUITY COLOURS!

To each his own i guess... but I think how so many people worried about security on their computer is just stupid. I ran BlackICE defender for a while.. and never once got a hack so I got rid of it since it was using up more system resources. I don't have any AntiVirus installed either. I have never gotten a virus since I use a web based e-mail service (Hotmail) that automatically scans all attachments via McAffe.

But all in all, Win2K is still a whole hell of alot better than any Win9x Kerneled OS.

Agreed, it is much more stabler. MUCH stabler. BlackICE sucks anyway, it isn't worth the resources it's taking up. But, while my viruses were just a couple CIH infections, and self infections when I get bored, I haven't had any problems. But I have been attacked, some script kiddie with a NetBIOS exploiter, and some other kid trying to sneak Sub7 in one time I believe. I run Ad-aware more than I do my antivirus, which has expired, leaving me to the web-based House Call scanner. I just have Tiny Personal Firewall up, stealth ports is just a nice thing to have.

It *DOES* happen though, so I wouldn't suggest getting too low of a sense of security.
