I downloaded it at a leisurely 170KB/s , now if only I could play it :?. Did you know that it may technically be illegal to play Wolfenstein 3D in Germany? They do anyway though.

Wolf3D was outright banned in Germany, and RTCW is blacklisted, but for one essential reason, there are no Nazis in the German version of RTCW. Otherwise I think it would be banned in Germany too.
holy internets batman.

No Nazi's? Thats like taking the plot out of the game! You can't have dogs torturing people with electric rays or raising the dead...or can you

Oh yeah, i just remembered how the last boss in RTCW was so pathetic. I had more trouble with nazis with pistols. I just circle strafed, and the moron died easily. I didn't even get hit! Very disappointing

Yeah, the final boss was the worst. I just used the electric gun, then the chain gun, and he died, and I never got 1% off, and that was on hardest. The chics with the snipers were the hardest, they'd blast your brains out before you could see them.

There are nazis in the German version, Activision didn't want to make different versions for different countries, that's why there's no swastikas in the game. Medal of Honor had tons of swastikas in it, yet wasn't banned. In Germany (and most, if not all, European countries) ban any form of display of hate symbols, and they vigoriously enforce it. In the US, it's not law to display it, it's stupid "freedom of expression", but it's illegal if it's meant to cause hate, but it's not really enforced (like at my school, stupid ass idiots, freedom of expression doesn't mean freedom of hate crimes!) In Japan, it's illegal to show the WWII Japanese flag of the sun in the middle with the rays coming off. Here's what the Activision site says:
