I work , at ThermoCorion. We make optical bandpass filters (for use with lasers/lights and semiconductors). Right now, I'm working in the Deblock lab, cleaning excess paint off of optics and prepping them for visuals labs. Normally I work in Assembly, where I clean, inspect, label, pot (put the glass in rings), bag, seal, do A LOT of paper work, and finally ship it. I'll be transferring to there soon, they're WAY backed up, and I caught Deblock up to a good pace. It's a really good job, I know everyone, and they know me, and all I do is sit all day and use dangerous and deadly chemicals (methanol and acetone) and an antistatic nitrogen gun (which I actually came up with the idea 2 years ago when I worked there). I love it, and it's quite forfilling. I get $9.00 per hour, which is pretty good.
