Hi,

I wanted to give you a heads up that our company is about to release a new MP3 player for PocketPC that you can control with your voice. Please give it a try and let us know what you think!

Thanks

$50? A little steep, don't you think? I doubt that too many people will get it at $30 or above. Remember, there is no stereo-input jack on Pocket PCs and there already is a built-in audio note program, so you will have a really tough time convincing customers that your app is worth another $30 or so. I guess you do probably have to pay for the mp3 codec license so maybe that could be part of the reason for the steep price, but you'll probably do a lot better to keep the price in the $10-$20 range. I wouldn't buy your product if it was $30+, and I plan to mod my iPAQ to install an audio-in jack, so I am a good customer. People aren't usually willing to pay for a simple app (as opposed to like Photogenics) that merely advances the capabilities of something that is already bundled with every Pocket PC.

Nevermind... I thought this was a voice-recorder that records mp3s.

In that case, you have no reason to charge $30 for it. Sure, it's nice, but I probably wouldn't even want to use it. I doubt anymore than a handful will buy this program. If you put the price down to like $5 or $10, maybe a significant number would buy it (like, about 10x more than if the price was $40), but you should really think about doing something else, like a really good word-processor that can do voice-to-text or something like that.
