You can't train with normal Doom. All Doom does, if anything, will make you more aware, it has for me. Columbine training on Doom is the absolute stupidest piece of crap I've ever heard. There IS Marine Doom, that is mostly to improve hand-eye coordination.

When people say things like that, it really pisses me off. I've been playing FPSes since Wolfenstein 3D came out in 1992, at the age of 5. Is this going to help me in the real life should I decide to kill people? HELL NO. Maybe they thought they were training, but it wasn't doing anything to help. I feel it has improved my coordination though.

Any respect I had is lost now.

I'm just saying that they made those maps with the desire to shoot their classmates in them. I used the word "train" for dramatic effect. Calm down about stuff, you'll use your inhaler a lot less that way.

They made those maps because they liked Doom, and wanted to make a Doom map. Nothing more. You can read into it all they like, but anything besides that is crap that the press dramatizes.

Boy, those imps look like real people.

If OJ Simpson made a quake map, would that be to help him practice running away? Nope.

And if being enlightened on subjects means losing people's respect, so be that way.

Typical dumb kid yelling, but same old story as Doom. Yea, look at all the mentions of killing classmates. I see none. Ignorance strikes again!

While the comments like "Eric has taken quite some time to make the monsters die in a much more gruesome fashion. If someone else had done this I would say it was a good idea, but maybe it is some sort of an indication as to the type of person this guy is??"
seem illogical (it's OK if any person does it, but not someone who later on killed people?) it's a fair review on one of their maps.
