As far as I can tell, Wally doesn't support the exporting of textures as a native WAD file.<br><br>I think what you have is a MIP texture with a WAD extension. WorldCraft just accepts anything with a WAD extension, thinking it is a true WADfile.<br><br>Anyway, export the texture to a MIPfile. Use Adquedit to insert the file into a WAD. You can even put it into an existing WAD, like one of mine or Quakes default WAD.<br><br>Sometimes Adquedit will ask you to rename the file when inserting it into the WADfile. Make sure you type just the name, and not the MIP extension.

uummm please tell me u aren't gonna use that texture on the wal from  the normal quake :( i hate quake textures...

You dont like the texture, Chuck? I think it fits very well in a submarine map. But I´m gonna think about it again, thanks for you opinion. :)<br><br>Anyway, I will try to do what you said, Randall, using Adquedit. Oh, yeah, BTW, Now I remember what I did to save it. I created the texture using the .mip format in the "new" menu. Then I saved it as ".wad" on the save menu. I'm ready and willing to give up 600 posts to shut down this thread AND change Chuck's tag to "Nuck Futter."<br><br>I think that's a good idea. Being able to use your posts as a kind of payment on the website. That would be a good idea for the new website. Maybe let users "buy" a PocketPC T-shirt or something with 1000 posts. I'm sure some kind of currency could be easily implemented. Maybe it would only count posts that use up more than 10kb or 300 characters or something along those lines.

I'm working on a UT map with a submarine, but haven't created any textures for it yet, otherwise I would convert them to Quake for you.<br><br>I'm having problems finding any decent information on German U-boats. Yeah, when I started the map, I thought about making it a exact copy of a Nuclear Submarine. As it would be hard to be done, I created my own submarine design. ;) The only thing I miss on it is an engine room... uhmm... <br><br>BTW, I need a world map texture. Where can I get it? Randall,<br><br>rent U-571 on dvd and pause whenever you see some good textures. i think they were pretty accurite in that movie. or maybe you could play it on you computer and snap a few pics of the movie, then convert them to 8bit color:)
