Here's the heart of this beast:

Image
Image
Notice the Neuspeed Swaybar :)
Image
This Mod makes my G60 (SuperCharger) spin faster, increasing my PSI pressure twice as fast.
Image
Here's the infamous G60 SuperCharger. Not as marvelous to look at as it performs unfortunately.

Image
Ahh, the Chip plaque. I'm having this re-installed on Monday finally. I can't wait!!!
Warren,
Here are the Shots as promised :)

Image
Image
What's nice is the hard lines are back in style, making the Corrado not look as dated as 11 years.
Image
Image
These hard wheelwell lines are back in, as you can spot them on the newer Mustangs. To think it took Ford years to get it right.
Image
Image
Image
Image
Now it says it's a Flowmaster, but I'm not positive. Anyhow, it's letting the car breathe right, but it's just too dammn loud!

Image
Here's a shot of the variable fin on the Corrado
Image
Image
Image
The Fin will rise when you hit 45Mph, and lower when you go slower than 20mph. The purpose is to add a little more downward pressure to the rear tires at high speeds. Lots of fatal accidents happen on the Autobahn due to too much body roll in a turn. Case in point, first generation AudiTTs were flipping over like hotcakes on the Autobahn. After it was recognized, Audi installed swaybars on all future models and offered the a free upgrade to existing owners.

The only problem with the variable Fin is the Rear-View mirror realestate it takes up when extended. The Corrado already has sub-par rear visibility, and the Fin just further complicates things.
Image
I'm used to the loss of visibility now already in my second Corrado. It did suck at first however.

Image
It's clean as a whistle, and bone-stock on the inside. Pretty cool if you're a collector :)

Last modification: 999 - 06/07/01 at 23:42:36

Damn 999, you're some artist with that camera of yours. I'm hoping for a good profile shot, though, if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

Moose:

Hehe, sorry, I parked a little too close to my House, and it was difficult to take that long profile shot.

I'll park a little farther down the drive this time and get a long body 3/4 body shot, and an overhead shot.

Those pics are sweet 999. Oh, I just remembered, the chip is located under the dashboard (your dad said it was under the carpet?!? That would be so funny). I have so many customizational ideas that I'm going insane. You gotta change the yellow back lights to either red or white. Get a tape-on hood intake, no drilling, and it looks real nice. TINT the windows! AH! Oh, and did I see STOCK brakes?!? AHH! The wheels are ok, but I think they're too flat. Oh, and one more thing, 'cause I gotta go right now, the exhaust is never too loud. Period.

Yea, I do want new brakes, some Red ones that will show through the rims better.

As for tint, the rear windows are tinted. I don't tint my side windows because I don't want to negate the glass' saftey properties. On impact, the glass will break into tiny pieces, and you'll be lucky to come out with scratches. With tint, it makes the glass break into huge pieces, which are lovely for cutting flesh.

I kinda want to keep this car stock looking, like a sleeper. So I don't reckon I'll be doing much other than what I can do mechanically.

I still have no idea where to put the Chip in ;)

As for Rims, I don't like deep dish style, or others that protrude outwards. I do like this style of rim, although I would prefer something a little more "chrome" looking, and not as matte as this finish is. At least then, the rims would match the chrome exhaust :P

Oh, I just saw at the VW show, this Golf next to me had chrome/matte wheels that looked awesome. They had the outer rim chrome, with the spokes, hub, and inside wheel matte. I don't remember the brand though. It was three letters I think. Go to www.vwvortex.com and click on the Golf with nice wheels to go to a site that lets you see wheels on the car, it's neat.

999, here's a quicker link - I like the white Kosei K1 Racing wheels for $159 bucks each. The red painted brakes with show up very nicely through the wheels. The painted we used on our Beetle was Foiliotec, or something like that, it's made by Neuspeed, and is specially designed for brakes, and looks awesome, and doesn't peel.
