Palm scares me, We all may end up with one soon

Ya, I know about that book, although I haven't read it. It's about fire fighters who go around and burn books because they're contraband or illegal or something like that. One of the fire fighters looked through a book and decided he liked them so started to collect them. His house was eventually burned down by the other fighters because he owned books.
I never read it.

i took a test just recently to enter a university. easiest thing i've ever done. it was fun too. but whether i did well or not, i dont know.

the cool part is that i dont want to go that university anyway - its just a backup. which i definitely wont need (i have a firm acceptance from the place i want to go to)

I have an IQ of 124... which is about average (although, most tests say 100 is average, and college graduates are ~130).

Back on topic:
Pocket PC 2002:
Unstable
Low battery life
More complicated GUI
Less programs (which is understandable, since Palm has been in the PDA business longer)
Generally higher resolution
Voice Recording
Faster CPU (although they aren't universal throughout PPCs)

Palm:
Word is faster on the Palm (WordSmith vs Pocket Word)
More programs (see above)
Longer battery
Generally lower resolution screens (other than the Sony Clié t615c and n760c which have higher resolutions)
Lower, but more potential (due to a more stable OS), CPUs

Both have, more or less, equivalent expansion capabilities and RAM usage (Palms usually have more compressed programs).
Someone try to prove me wrong.

Palms do not have equivalent expansion capabilites. Only the latest palms (m500 & 505) have SD slots, previously it was impossible to add more mem. Several PPC2K devices have both CF & SD slots, while older devices still generally have one. Although the first Ipaq had none, it could accept sleeves for CF, PCMCIA, Bluetooth, TV cards, etc, so you cannot say they have equivalent expansion.
The GUI of PPC is not complicated, it is pretty user-friendly. It is the inner workings of the OS that is complex.

As i said at the beginning of thread, the two devices cannot be compared as they serve completely different purposes. A Palm is a cheap, very pocketable device useful for syncing addresses, contacts, email and using simple apps & games. Their size, price and long battery life make them perfectly suited. However, if you want full multimedia capabilities including games, music, true internet access, etc but are willing to sacrifice size and battery life, get a PPC. Simple. Not even the latest Palm can be used as an MP3 player as-is, only the Clie!

Hmm..just had a thought...Sony have started to make Palm-based PDA's, and look how they've turned out.. Imagine if they were convinced to make PPCs...
