Pro_Worm, I like your ideas.

I don't think that anything is impossible on the Pocket PC anymore. I mean, just look at what RocketElite was able to do with realistic phyics at framerates that even much simpler games could only dream about! Seriously, there's a way to do it realistically, but it might take awhile to program. I'm not trying to argue or disagree with you. I am just expressing my faith in the capabilities of the Pocket PC and those who program for it. I actually just thought of a good way to do it... you could have like 5 water sprites that sort of bounce around, but with more efficient programming. They enter like in a wave and they dissolve and settle into the dips in the terrain, sort of like Rocket Elite, but they flow until they meet an obstacle or unless it is really flat... It would be a really cool effect. And when the snail crawled through the water, it would have a little splash sprite or something... You could use it for like a bonus ending or something. Anyways, it would look cool, but I don't know if even StrongArm Pocket PCs could quite handle all the detail that I meantioned... You could always scale it down a bit and not use alpha-blended sprites for the water. Yeah, if you did that, it would be definitely playable... More playable than my 50-blob napalm or my super-smoketrail-fire-10x-nuke thingy or my ungodly-powerful multishot-spreadshot-Napalm-SuperSchnoogieSpecial!

Anyways, I think that you should let people use like macros in the DAT files or mods or something for the registered version (of course!). I should buy this game... I'm busy today, so maybe tomorrow.

And I think that you should be able to write the macros/mods using plain text and without having to compile. That way I could write them on my Pocket PC!
Also, in an upcoming Snails version that lets you make custom maps, allow the custom maps to be in a standard format so that they can be made entirely on the Pocket PC. That would be cool as well! But, more important is the text-based, no-compiling modding because that is really easy to do already on the Pocket PC for the DAT files, and the ability to write full mods (or edit other people's mods) on the Pocket PC would be even cooler!

Putting water or lava at the bottom of some levels would make the game a little more challenging and fun

I know you don't want to make it like w*rms, but heres an idea:
make a weapon that lets the guys drill into the ground (like the jackhammer in w*rms) except make the snail just spin and use their body as the drill

I'm bored of the deathmatch maps already. The only one I use now is the random generated one.

That is the one I use the most too.
Sometimes I use other ones when i want to figure out different ways to use weapons.

Maybe you guys could use the code for the random level generator to make a level editor. unless the foreground in the generator is saved and it just pulls up random foregrounds when you start.

In low-damage mode the game lasts longer. How about more money to buy weapons in that mode? What usually happens (at least to me) is that most if not all of the non-free weapons are used in the beginning and then most of the game is just bazooka/dynamite/shotgun.

Another thing I'd like to see is (at least the option of) bigger and/or more damaging snails explosion. perhaps even the size of the explosion depend on how much 'overdamage' the snail got before it died?
This enables some interesting techniques like suicide snail (positions itself strategically and shoots himself) and interesting chain reactions (something I'm especially fond of)

depends. If you have the demo, you can't. If you bought the full version, you just complete all the missions. I think you get one weapon per mission (a mission is usually comprised of about 3 levels)
