Fun with Best Buy and my Jornada

Postby Maf54 » Jul 27, 2002 @ 4:38am

I know hp is very speedy and that they usually replace things when it is a product default, as long as you are still udner their warranty. They were great fixing my Jornada. :D

I'm going to have fun listening to the BB guy try to squirm his way out of this now. I've got an email from hp saying that it is an issue with the device, and I've got around 20 pages from PDABuzz and Brighthand concerning best buy 3 year plans and the dust issue. Sooo, mr. Drew Wadell (the hp guy) can explain some stuff to me tomorrow when I pick up my cradle and adapter (and then put them in the box and give them right back) :D .

I don't buy anything over $70 from BestBuy, and I've only found one intelligent tech guy. But oh was it a pleasure finding him. He fixed my MAC Address networking problem in no time. Remember when I had that problem? Well apparently my modem was keeping track of the MAC addresses and only letting the same one connect. He told me just to unplug the modem and let the data drain out of the RAM so it didn't have it stored any longer. He immediately diagnosed the problem and I was out of there in less than 2 minutes, from entering to waiting to leaving, total.

Update: I've got a new 568 now. I called customer support, got the guy fired, and the guy I talked to today said that I had a serious issue, and that the something or other is bad, which is why it kept causing me to have to hard reset. Sooo, anyways I can finally play Intersteallar Flames, and be happy :-D . Best Buy is back on my good side again now that I got this dumb f'ker fired.
